Notes
Notes from the field.
What we keep finding inside companies of twenty or more across Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, written down so you can check your own.
The after-hours phone was the symptom
A composite 35-person contractor asked about its after-hours phone. The AI Opportunity Assessment found the hours leaking in dispatch and estimating instead.
Read noteIf it happens twice, it's worth a look: the six places a company leaks time
The six places a company of twenty to two hundred people leaks time, in the order they top the opportunity map. Handoffs first, follow-up last.
Read noteThe 45-minute consult: what we actually ask
What happens on the free first call with Kadro: the five questions we ask, what we listen for, what you leave with, and what we are not doing.
Read noteThese are patterns, not stories about one company. Past about twenty people, work starts moving between hands, and the same leaks show up in a contractor's dispatch board, a distributor's order desk and a clinic's front office: the handoff that waits on one person, the detail typed three times, the status question answered by hand every morning.
Each note comes out of the AI Opportunity Assessment, the two weeks we spend inside a company interviewing people at every level and following real work from first contact to paid. We leave names out and round the numbers off. Where a note describes a single company, it is a composite of several, and it says so.
Read them the way you would read a neighbor's notes on their own operation. If one sounds like your Tuesday, it probably is. Take what is useful, hand it to your own people if you want, and if you would rather we came and looked, the first call is free.
