Where we work · Chicagoland
Chicagoland, from the city to the southwest suburbs.
Two weeks inside a company of twenty or more, interviews at every level, then a written plan that is yours to keep. It runs the same way in Beverly, Oak Lawn or Joliet.
Chicagoland is where the twenty-person company becomes the two-hundred-person company. A contractor on the South Side with four crews and one estimator. A distributor off I-57 whose warehouse and front office run on two systems and a phone call. A medical group in Oak Lawn with three locations and one billing team. Past about twenty people, work moves between hands, and the handoffs are where the hours go: the estimate that waits on a callback, the order typed into the warehouse system a second time, the schedule that lives in one manager's head.
That is the size the AI Opportunity Assessment is built for. Companies of twenty or more, small enough that the owner still knows every name, big enough that nobody can see every desk. Over two weeks we sit down with people at every level, from the owner to the person who actually does the thing, and follow real work from first contact to paid. Every step that eats hours or causes errors gets tagged and gets a number. Then you get the plan: where the week goes, the opportunity map, the roadmap, the math, and what to build and how. Nothing goes in it you have not already seen and argued with. Nothing in it requires buying software from us. We charge for the thinking. Building is optional.
The two weeks run on site. Day one is a kickoff at your place, where the delivery date is set in the room and your team hears that nobody is being replaced. Interviews fill the first week, thirty to forty-five minutes each, scheduled in blocks so a founder can cover a Tinley Park shop in the morning and a Homewood practice after lunch. I-80, I-57, I-355 and the Dan Ryan put the city, the south and southwest suburbs and Will County well inside a day's drive, and we make it most weeks. Companies with more than one location get a visit at each site, because the handoffs between sites are usually where the map lights up. You see every finding before day fourteen. Then build it with us, or hand the plan to your own people.

Start with your side of the metro.
Each page covers the companies we tend to meet there, what usually turns up on the opportunity map, and what owners ask before the first call. The first forty-five minutes are free everywhere.

The city and the counties around it.
- Cook County: Chicago's neighborhoods, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Homewood and the rest of the south and southwest suburbs. Multi-location medical groups and home health agencies around the hospital corridors, contractors with crews working the old housing stock, distributors along Halsted and off I-57, and the professional firms outside the Loop. Forty-five minutes to an hour and a quarter from us.
- Will County: Joliet, Frankfort, New Lenox, Mokena. The fastest-growing stretch of the metro, about an hour out. Warehouses and rail-served logistics along I-80, custom builders and landscape companies running several crews, and the offices and practices around downtown Joliet.
- DuPage County: Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove. Farther out, and still worth the drive for a company of twenty or more: manufacturers and shops in the industrial parks, agencies and professional services, practices with more than one office.
Kane, McHenry, Kendall and Lake County, Illinois are on the map too. If your town has no page, that does not mean no: book the call. The same assessment runs across all of Northwest Indiana.
Questions
Questions from Chicagoland companies
We're about forty people across two locations. Is that the right size?
That is the middle of it. The assessment is built for companies of twenty or more, and two locations is exactly the kind of handoff we go looking for. Under twenty, book the call anyway and we will tell you straight if two weeks is more than you need. Past two hundred, it still works: we add interviews, not weeks.
You're an Indiana firm. How does on-site work in Illinois?
Nothing about the assessment needs local licensure, and the interviews happen at your place, not ours. We schedule city and suburban visits in blocks and cross the state line most weeks. The first call and the first visit are free anywhere on the map, and distance never changes how the two weeks run.
What do the two weeks actually look like for my team?
Day one is a kickoff where the delivery date is set and your team hears that nobody is being replaced. Days two through seven are interviews, thirty to forty-five minutes each, at every level. Days five through ten we build the map, with a number on every step. Days eight through eleven you see everything and argue with it. Day fourteen you get the plan, with the math.
Can you handle a company inside the city itself?
Yes. City contractors with crews, practices with a location in two neighborhoods, and South Side distributors are some of the best fits we have. Parking and a conference room are all we need. If your people are spread across sites, we visit each one, because that is where the hours usually go.
Your next step
What are the handoffs costing you?
Forty-five minutes, free, anywhere in Chicagoland. You'll leave knowing the two or three places we'd look first, and whether the assessment is worth your team's time.
